＊關於 ACD 藝術與設計影展 / About ACD

2024年第一屆的 ACD 藝術與設計影展，是個「迷你影展」。具有濃厚的獨立和地下色彩，帶來一系列獨具魅力的紀錄片作品，包含復古錄音卡帶的情懷之旅、全球最後一家百視達的生存故事、聲音與影像交織的神秘冥想、以及自造者崛起的十年紀念放映。

今年的主題是「Analog 類比」，不是單純懷舊，更像是一種探索。在這個即將吞噬我們的 AI 時代，像這樣類比的工藝與藝術創作，看似沒有效率，卻可能是人類最後的浪漫。

ACD Film Festival, a “mini-festival” with an independent vibe, showcases captivating documentaries like a nostalgic cassette tape journey, the Blockbuster’s survival story, a mysterious meditation woven from sound and image, and a ten-year anniversary of the maker movement.

This year’s theme, “Analog,” encourages exploration beyond nostalgia. In an AI era, analog craftsmanship and artistic creation may seem inefficient, but they could embody humanity’s last romance.

《最後百視達》The Last Blockbuster

《最後百視達》是一部充滿樂趣且勾起懷舊情懷的紀錄片，回顧了影視租賃的時代，以及一間小鎮錄影帶出租店如何成功堅持到最後、超越了企業巨頭的故事。（1小時26分）
The Last Blockbuster is a fun, nostalgic look back at the era of video rentals and the story of how one small town video store managed to outlast a corporate giant.

《聲影冥想》32 Sounds

《聲影冥想》透過32個特定的聲音探索，編織成一場關於聲音力量的電影冥想，深入探討聲音如何扭轉時間、跨越邊界，並深刻地影響我們對周圍世界的感知。（1小時36分）
32 Sounds is an immersive documentary exploring sound’s elemental power. It weaves 32 specific sound explorations into a cinematic meditation on how sound can bend time, cross borders, and shape our perception of the world. 

《搖滾卡帶》Cassette

《搖滾卡帶》回顧了卡式錄音帶在音樂界所造成的影響。沒有卡帶就沒有嘻哈音樂，類比聲音有某種魅力，至今仍有樂團用它來創作。透過卡帶發明者 Lou Ottens 翻查過去，試圖弄清楚為什麼這種格式始終未曾消亡。（1小時27分）
Cassette inventor Lou Ottens reflects on his past to understand why the format persists. Musicians like Henry Rollins and Thurston Moore support a new generation of bands releasing tapes to honor Ottens’ legacy.
